General Manager
COPE-Nano is a European funded project to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) that will leverage on the internationally acknowledged track record and innovation activities of the Nanotechnology Lab LTFN/AUTh. The new Centre of Excellence will be a unique, independent, autonomous and self-sustained National and European CoE for Organic & Printed Electronics and Nanotechnologies (COPE-Nano) in Thessaloniki.
The CoA is looking for a highly experienced and well-educated manager in order to lead and organize a team, managing the daily operation, administration and to support the Director in all the COPE-Nano activities.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-by-day COPE-Nano Implementation of all the activities for the establishment and operation of the CoE
- Organizing CoE Administration Depts and recruit qualified administrative personnel
- Plans, organizes and executes business strategies to attain the goals of the CoE
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Ensure CoE policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down and that they are always followed
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Ensuring the company’s financial performance, overall success and liability
- Reviewing deliverables, periodic reports and adjusting operations to better meet COPE-Nano goals
- Represents COPE-Nano at various meetings and activities as required
Qualifications
- Higher Education Degree in Finance and/or Business or Business Engineering
- Master’s degree in Business Administration
- PhD will be considered positive
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
- Proven experience as General Director at least 5 years and/or other senior management positions in Large Companies or/and Organizations
- Proven experience in implementation and management of European and National Research, Innovation and Industrial projects
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Familiarity with corporate law, finance and management best practices
- Working knowledge of human-resources processes
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and business operations
- Excellent knowledge in English
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other business software

Executive Secretary
COPE-Nano is an ambitious project that will leverage on the internationally acknowledged track record and innovation activities of the Nanotechnology Lab LTFN/AUTh to establish a new, autonomous, and self-sustained Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Organic, Printed Electronics & Nanotechnologies (COPE-Nano).
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of handling multiple tasks with professionalism and efficiency to support the Director.
Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings, appointments, take care of executive calendars, and organize travel plans for the Director dynamic schedule.
- Arrange workplace functions, and other events.
- Keep the Director time well-allocated to strategic goals by serving as a point of contact.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discreet.
- Draft and revise Director messages, presentations, and documents.
- Manage daily office operations and make sure the workspace is tidy and productive.
- Maintain executive’s agenda and assist in planning appointments, board meetings, conferences.
- Attend meetings and keep minutes.
- Receive and screen phone calls and redirect them when appropriate.
- Handle and prioritize all outgoing or incoming correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.).
- Make travel arrangements for executives.
- Handle confidential documents ensuring they remain secure.
- Maintain electronic and paper records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible.
Responsibilities
- Educational Background: A secretary degree or similar studies are required. Additional qualifications will be positively considered.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and “back-office” software (e.g. ERP).
- Communication Skills: Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English. The perfect applicant will be proactive, thorough and able to manage several responsibilities with professionalism and effectiveness.
- Attention to Detail: Exhibited skills in precision and meticulousness.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing an office with prior expertise overseeing office operations and providing support to C-level executives.
- Shown aptitude at setting priorities for projects and activities.
- Effective communication abilities while interacting with stakeholders both inside and externally.
- Excellent organizational and time-management.

- In depth knowledge of office management.
